New ways of earning money from your writing: Patreon

In this course we will look at a non-traditional publishing option that can produce a regular income for a writer or other creator. We will talk about what are the historical context, the legal issues involved, how to set up an account and how to run it. We will discuss suitable content and how to go about preparing it and how much work this represents. During the workshop we will refer to existing accounts and see how these questions are addressed by creators and how participants may use them. By the end of the module the participants will know whether this is something that they can make use of and will have the tools to go further. Some post-course support will be provided to get people started.

Please note the presenter has flagged that there will be time for questions at the end so the workshop may run long
