Join award winning Tasmanian poet Sarah Day in a class dedicated to teaching you how to develop the skills you'll need to unlock your inner poet. 

Sarah Day’s eighth book of poems is Towards Light (Puncher & Wattmann 2018). It was shortlisted for the Tasmanian Premier’s Literary Awards. Her previous books have won the Queensland Premier’s Award and been shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards and the NSW Premier’s awards, and twice received the Uni Melbourne Wesley Michel Wright Prize. She lives in Hobart, Tasmania. Her poems have been widely anthologized in Australia; they have been published in English and in translation in UK, France, US, China and set to music by British and Australian composers. She has written reviews and articles for magazines such as Island; The Monthly; Griffiths Review; Southerly; Cordite; Famous Reporter & Australian Poetry Review. In recent years she has co-judged the International Wildcare Nature Writing Prize and the Newcastle Poetry Prize. She was a member of the Literature Board of the Australia Council 1999-2002 and has since been a peer assessor. She has taught creative writing to year 12 students in Hobart for twenty years.
