Saturday, 21 October 2023, 2 – 4pm: Cultivate your creativity (online)

This two hour workshop is based on the best-selling book The Artist’s Way (1992) by Julia Cameron, an American writer, film director and teacher. Cameron’s methods have helped many people overcome common obstacles to successfully cultivate their creativity. Every creative life has its trials, which can compromise artistic identity, self-belief, power, integrity, possibility, abundance, connection, strength, compassion, self-protection, autonomy and trust. Learning how to negotiate those challenges can have a powerful, positive impact. In this interactive session, Angela will show how Cameron’s techniques can lead to a more productive, rewarding, joyful creative life.

Dr Angela Kingston is a published author and experienced teacher with a PhD in English literature. Her non-fiction book Oscar Wilde as a Character in Victorian Fiction was published by Palgrave Macmillan (New York). Her fiction has won a Varuna Writing Retreat Fellowship, the Penguin Varuna Scholarship and an Arts SA Grant, and she has been shortlisted for the Impress Prize (UK). Angela recently submitted her second PhD, in Creative Writing.
