Between the completion of a raw manuscript and eventual publication lies the editing process. In this workshop, led by well-known Tasmanian writer Danielle Wood, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at what a professional editing process involves, from structural editing to line editing and proofreading.
Drawing on Danielle’s knowledge of editors and their pet peeves, the workshop will also focus on some simple things you can do to make your work as polished as possible before you send it out into the world.
Danielle, author of the Australian/Vogel’s prize-winning novel The Alphabet of Light and Dark,is a versatile writer who has published literary fiction and non-fiction under her own name, children’s fiction under the nom-de-plume ‘Angelica Banks’ (a collaboration with fellow Tasmanian writer Heather Rose) and commercial fiction under the pen name ‘Minnie Darke’. Minnie Darke’s novels, which include the international bestseller Star-crossed, have been published in over 25 international territories; a new novel, Three Juliets, will be released in April.
