FREE workshop for young people aged 12-18.

Writing often turns out best when we have the most fun with it. This workshop will look at different ways we can make the writing process more like a game, challenging ourselves with rules, gimmicks and absurdities to bring out the best in our abilities. This will be a practical workshop where we create new works on the fly following game rules of our choice. We will put aside our critical and editing minds to revel in whatever surprises we manage to produce.

About the presenter: Alex McKeowhn is a poet, translator and software engineer. His work has appeared in major journals in Australia and overseas. His debut collection of poetry "We Leave Gaps" is forthcoming with Walleah Press.
