WRITE YOUR NOVEL 2027

Our Write Your Novel 2026 course has been a smashing success. While it’s not over yet, we are turning out attention to next year and the next crop of Tassie writers to support and nurture.

Have you ever longed to write a novel but felt unsure where to start or how to keep going? Join the TasWriters Write Your Novel course, guided by acclaimed author, Dr Rosie Dub – the creative voice behind novels such as Flight and Gathering Storm, and a mentor with decades of teaching, editing and doctoral-level research in story craft.

Running from February to November 2027, Rosie will share her expertise to guide you through the entire process from first paragraph to final draft. You start with shaping your idea and building confidence in your writing, with every session aimed at working towards a finished manuscript and realising your novel-writing ambitions.

Write Your Novel classes are mainly held online, so no matter where you live in Lutruwita/Tasmania you can join in. They take place one evening each fortnight, with seasonal breaks, plus four face-to-face one-day workshops.

Along the way you’ll find encouragement, connection, and the practical tools to bring your story to life – plus guest speakers, industry insights, and opportunities for feedback on your work. Special guests include renowned authors Heather Rose, Meg Bignell, Mary-Lou Stephens, and Rohan Wilson. There will also be industry guests with insight and advice on the complexities of the business of publishing.
