Have you always dreamed of writing a novel but weren’t sure where to begin — or how to keep going? Write Your Novel is TasWriters’ flagship program for aspiring novelists, designed to guide you step by step through the process of bringing your story to life.

Facilitated by acclaimed author, creative writing teacher and mentor Dr Rosie Dub, this nine-month course offers a blend of expert teaching, practical tools, and a supportive community of fellow writers. Across the year, you’ll learn how to shape your idea, develop characters and plot, strengthen your writing craft, and work towards a polished manuscript.

The course is delivered online, making it accessible no matter where you live in Tasmania, with the added opportunity for face-to-face workshops in regional areas.  Along the way, you’ll hear from guest authors and industry professionals, receive feedback on your work, and connect with a vibrant network of writers.  Our guests include renown authors Heather Rose, Jo Dixon, Karen Brooks, Rohan Wilson and Eva Scott. We also have industry guests Alex Adsett (Literary Agent), Jo Mackay (HarperCollins) and Dr Tim Jarvis (Fullers Bookshop) who will guide you through the complexities of the business of publishing.
