Would you like to write a story set in the past, but don’t know where to start? Have you been wondering what’s involved in writing historical fiction? Want to learn more about depicting historical characters, devising historical plots and engaging readers in this popular genre? If so, this is the workshop for you! Come and learn the fundamentals of writing historical fiction in this two hour interactive session. No experience or story idea necessary, just the enthusiasm to learn. 

Dr Angela Kingston is a published author and experienced teacher with a PhD in English literature. Her non-fiction book Oscar Wilde as a Character in Victorian Fiction was published by Palgrave Macmillan (New York). Her historical fiction has been awarded a Varuna Writing Retreat Fellowship, the Penguin Varuna Scholarship, an Arts SA Grant and a shortlisting for the Impress Prize (UK). Angela recently submitted her second PhD, in Creative Writing.
