Notice of Annual General Meeting 2026

Thursday 21st May 2026 

Members and friends, please join us at 

the Devil's Lair at WOTSO,

162 Macquarie Street, Hobart

for the Annual General Meeting of TasWriters.

• Refreshments from 5.30pm. The meeting will start at 6.00pm.

  Things to note:

•  If you wish to attend the AGM you must get a ticket.  These are free, but booking ensures we hold the AGM with a quorum and can accommodate attendees in the event space.
  Every person attending must book their own ticket.
• If you wish to participate and vote at the AGM you must be a financial member (membership paid up to date) of TasWriters.  
  You can join or renew on the TasWriters' website via the link above.
• Proxy votes can be submitted prior to the AGM. 
  Instructions on how to do this are on the Proxy Form.
•  Non-members may attend the AGM and can ask to speak. This is allowed if a majority of the attending members approve.
•  The 2025 Annual Report will be available at the AGM.  The following documentation will be available from the TasWriters website:

2026 AGM Agenda, 2025 AGM Minutes, a Board Nomination Form, and a Proxy Form.

• Please review the documentation ahead of the event.

The Board of Management is seeking new Board members. 

We welcome nominations from people with relevant skills and experience, and particularly in the following areas: accounting, IT Administration, philanthropy/fundraising, legal background.

Nominations for Board members must be submitted by 11:59pm Wednesday 13th May to admin@taswriters.org
